Desert Gravel Volunteer Roles
We’ve got a role for every kind of legend:
Aid Station/Check Point Heroes
Keep the snacks flowing and hydration topped up — the riders will love you forever. Bring your best costume and a smile.
Course Marshals
Help guide and cheer riders on-course. Bonus: you’ll get front-row seats to the suffering and stoke.
Finish Line Crew/Timing Chip Collection
Be part of the celebration as riders roll in — distribute medals, remove the timing chips from the riders, and maybe tissues (for tears of joy, of course).
Package Pickup
Set the tone early by helping riders get their numbers, swag, and pre-race pep talk.

Volunteer credits only apply when open positions are available
You must accept the role assigned (we’ll try to honor preferences)
Credits are only valid if the event isn’t sold out
No cash value
No-shows may be ineligible for future opportunities
Volunteer credits are transferable to friends or family
Credits expire 12 months after your volunteer date
